Pretzel, Bradford Gerber, Rajendra and I are excited to offer this series to the Bellingham community as a collaboration.

These 4 classes will be held in the supporting atmosphere of a beginner's mind. Each facilitator will bring their unique style, understanding, research and experimentation skills into the space. You will get a palette of different tastes and spices of the form.

We will be exploring themes of how to start and end a dance. Expanding and deepening our understanding of touch as consent-oriented skill. We'll introduce the art of weight-sharing, counterbalancing, listening. Some of us will focus on experimental anatomy and how we can enhance our introspection and sense of what is moving us in order to resource from within us as much as from the outside.

Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. Sometimes wild and athletic, sometimes quiet and meditative, it is a form open to all bodies and enquiring minds.
