In those 4 classes you will be exposed to a river of movement in resonance with each other. There won't be mindless repetitions without feeling our inner landscapes. We'll be mindful, bodyful and we'll aim for a bodymind dance experience spiced up with spirited expressions of self! We'll sense in, sweat and learn together. We'll have fun and certainly some challenging moments. I invite you to become active and curious researchers of the body in movement.

We will use the Axis Syllabus as a foundation for moving through space. We will dance solo and with others. We'll do phrase work to hone in on some of the presented material. Exploration material includes:

  • Proprioceptively sensing the limitations and pathways of our joints in order to find freedom in motion.
  • Respecting our skeletal structure and using it to move instead of recruiting muscles to effort.
  • Toning versatility.
  • Allowing gravity to move the bones/soul and feeling how easy/delightful moving can be as earth creatures.
  • Allowing body (parts) to fall all the time in order to hone in and use momentum.
  • Remembering/rediscovering the fluid nature of the human body. Belonging here.
  • Tending to the whole, entering the environment of choice, focus, ease and clarity.
