The Landscape of Touch
In Ci we sense ourselves, gravity, the floor and we sense our partners bones, structures, tone, grounding, balance, weight and flow. Exercises such as Mutual proprioception and X-ray touch and monkey bodywork may bring that into play and focus. We’ll be doing my favorite contact exercises and current curiosities. Created or learned over the decades investigation and indulgence.
We will take time to arrive into our bodies , then some technical/fun exercises that extend our body awareness to include our partners. We’ll expand our contact options via curiosity and focused exercises. After training, connecting, getting smooshed, and flying we unfold a journey of the senses. Your contact journey will be guided but will be your own: intersecting, sometimes joining others’ journeys, open to distractions and impulses on the way.
Your can read more about Scott on his Biography page.

*Contemplative Dance Practice by Barbara Dilley is a simple yet profound practice of moving meditation. It works with the innate intelligence of the body, psyche and imagination, and their drive for wholeness and integration. We pay attention to the body and invite it to lead into movement or stillness, suspending self-criticism and cultivation awareness. We may move, or be moved, into deeper streams of consciousness. As we practice, the artificial boundaries between body, psyche and spirit begin to dissolve and we discover aspects of ourselves and our lives from fresh perspectives. As we practice with others, we develop an appreciation for the diversity of human experience.
