We Contain Landscapes by Patrycja Humienik and Soleil Chappelle
Patrycja Humienik is a writer and performance artist on tour for her book of poems: We Contain Landscapes, published by Tin House. Soleil Chappelle is a local dance artist. The two of them are old friends with a history of exploring dance and writing in cross-pollination. They will be coming together for the Dojo Salon using We Contain Landscapes to generate movement experiments as conversation, reconnection, and celebration of this verdant poetry collection.

Kitty and the Public Toilet by REVE SHANNON
Kitty and the Public Toilet is a monologue theater piece with a little bit of mime, movement and a lot of words. The piece has been performed by me a couple of times as spoken word and once on stage as a monologue (not by me) in a Playwrights Festival.
I have managed to get on stage in front of audiences, for better or worse, most of my adult life. Thanks to Carmen and Soleil for yet another opportunity.
Enjoy the Salon.

Tensile by Bonnie Smerdon
Bonnie Smerdon is a multidisciplinary artist working between sculpture, painting, and dance. In shifting laterally between creative processes, Bonnie holds onto a framework of adaptability and willingness to allow one material to inform the next. In her piece ‘Tensile’, Bonnie examines the intersection between built environments and the natural world. Using wood and repurposed materials, she creates large mobile sculptures to motivate and explore dance movement. Smerdon’s work holds tension between beauty and unease and aims to provide space for empathy and wonder as it relates to the natural world.
